Exhibition of Vehicles and Simulators from the 2023 Student Formula SAE Japan (Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan)

The champion cars in the ICV (internal combustion engine) and EV (electric vehicle) categories from the 2023 Student Formula SAE Japan, held from Monday, Aug. 28 to Saturday, Sep. 2, 2023, will be on display at JAPAN MOBILITY SHOW 2023. In addition, visitors can experience the simulators used during training for the Student Formula.

About Student Formula Japan

Student Formula Japan is a competition among university, junior college, and vocational students on small formula-style racing cars which they have designed and built in the span of one year. The six-day-long competition focuses not only on vehicle performance but also on total craftsmanship, through activities such as the “Static Event” (cost and presentation) , “Scrutineering,” and the “Dynamic Event” (acceleration, skid pad, autocross, endurance, efficiency) .
The competition is held worldwide and began in Japan in 2003. This year, now in its 21st edition, 90 teams from across the world entered, with 54 teams qualifying for the Dynamic Event held at Shizuoka ECOPA.
